1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site, operated independently from government. It does not store official criminal records, obtain them for users, perform official checks, or file documents.

Its material directs readers to Yolo County record custodians, including the sheriff's Crime Desk, the Superior Court of California, the California Department of Justice, and the California Megan's Law Website. Some pages also contain third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
• Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
• Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information found here or through a linked tool to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate. California Penal Code section 290.46 restricts misuse of California Megan's Law Website data and authorizes serious penalties. Registry information exists for public safety, not vigilante acts or prohibited discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Any check for a regulated purpose must be obtained through an authorized California Department of Justice fingerprint channel or a compliant consumer reporting agency, as the law requires.
